Yay! We made it through an entire program without crying and WITH hand motions and even some singing! Yes! It was a very lovely morning at First Church of the Nazarene (where Kidz First Daycare is).
Can't believe how much these kiddos are growing up. Remember the first program Lily did??
Sorry if this looks like I've posted 47 of the exact same picture. There's just these subtle nuances that are different in each one and I just couldn't decide which ones to put...so up they all went.
Love this one. Both kids are fooling with their clothes.
After the singing, there were cookies and an Easter Egg hunt. The kids had a great time grabbing up Easter Eggs and Joel and I are happy that we netted out to the negative on candy (in other words, we donated more candy filled eggs than the kids collected today). There was an Easter Bunny in the midst too and Tyler was intent on seeing him. But upon encountering the bunny, Tyler retreated to my armpit and didn't want to have anything to do with him.
We also did something we've never done with the kids before - dyed Easter Eggs. They did pretty good - only dropped each of the eggs once or twice. Lily kept asking when we were going to eat them. Something tells me that she actually has zero intention of eating them but is very interested in cracking them.
